La Quinta Inns & Suites Executive Assistant - Human Resources in Irving, Texas
This position is responsible for supporting the Senior Vice President Human Resources as well as any other general administrative needs of the Human Resources team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Prepare correspondence, reports, memos, and communications outlined in oral or written directions. Compose responses to selected correspondence. Organize and maintain electronic filing system of department correspondence, reports and communications.
Schedule and coordinate meetings as requested. Research information and supporting data and prepare materials for meetings, work projects and reports.
Oversight of Service Awards and retiree cards.
Oversight of all labor posters to include renewal and updates
Reporting as directed by SVP of Human Resources
- Assist team with additional requests as needed.
Bachelor Degree preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 5 years prior experience supporting senior level executives.
Strong preference for prior Human Resources Administrative support experience.
MINIMUM SKILL REQUIRED:
Must have advanced skills in Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel.
Must have good communication skills and be able to work with little supervision.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact with different types of personalities.
Must have the ability to display sound judgment and discretional skills.
Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives, reassign priorities and use solid business judgment to solve problems.
Must be able to work independently and show initiative and have good organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to work on sensitive and confidential material.
Must be able to work as a team player.
Occasional need for travel 1-2 times a year.
Must be able to read, write and understand English.
