La Quinta Inns & Suites Business Analyst in Irving, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position works closely with the Corporate Directors of Revenue Management in setting effective rate strategies based on current trends, available inventory and market demand with the ultimate goal of increasing their assigned Inns revenues and market share. Develop, implement, and maintain operational systems, methods, and techniques to support Revenue Management activities and responsibilities in the field and at the regional and corporate levels. This includes development of metrics, generation and review of reports, pricing, and implementation of strategies across channels to maximize profitability by property and region. Provide detailed market analysis and assist the Revenue Management team in setting effective pricing strategies which would increase room revenues for the hotels. Work in partnership with the SVP and Directors to generate and distribute daily, weekly and monthly revenue management reports. Responsible for creation of Excel spreadsheets to assist in analyzing trends and hotel performance. The travel requirements will include corporate department meetings up to 10%.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Ad-hoc analyses for CHM RM Team.

Forecasting, STR Analysis, 3rd Party Report Review.

Daily and weekly report production for SVP and Directors CHM RM Team.

Rate & availability strategy development for Inns.

Ongoing NetRez/Rate strategy updates for assigned Inns.

Develop, execute, analyze and measure pricing strategies and channel production by property and region.

Provide strategic recommendations to assigned Inns and DRM.

Communicate results and provide measured results to Directors and Senior Vice President of Revenue Management and other Operations Vice Presidents.

Manage and update ad-hoc reporting or tools to identify opportunities.

Provide specific, actionable information to assigned Inns and Directors, Regional Vice Presidents that allow the company to maximize revenue.

Load and quality check leisure, corporate, and other rates in CRS and GDS.

Proactively analyze SRP’s on a regular basis to identify strategic opportunities.

Provide action items and measure results on a regular basis to leadership teams.

Communicate effectively best practices amongst peer group.

Create and maintain internal and external training documentation.

Manage additional projects as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree: Business Adminstration, Finance, or Economics

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

Must have 1-2 years Analytical experience within the Hospitality Industry

Revenue Management, Front Office Operations
